Private Car & Taxi from Johor Bahru to Singapore
Crossing from Johor Bahru into Singapore should not mean dragging suitcases through two immigration halls and squeezing onto a packed bus at rush hour. A Luxway SGMY driver collects you from your JB condo, hotel or shopping mall, keeps you seated in the car at both checkpoints, and drops you at the exact Singapore address you give us — a home in Tampines, an office in the CBD, a hotel on Orchard Road or a terminal at Changi Airport.
The fare is fixed per car, not per head, and already covers tolls, checkpoint fees, fuel and parking. Book on WhatsApp with no deposit and pay your driver in cash when you arrive. We run round the clock, so a 5 am flight out of Changi or a late-night return after a JB dinner is no problem.

Pick-up Anywhere in Johor Bahru
Give us a pin or an address and the driver comes to you. These are the areas we collect from most often, but any address in greater JB works the same way.
City centre & JB City Square
Hotels around Jalan Wong Ah Fook, Bukit Chagar and the mall linked to the checkpoint. The driver can wait at a hotel porch or an agreed mall entrance.
KSL City & Taman Abad
Popular with weekend shoppers and spa-goers. Tell us which hotel or mall door you will be at and we will be parked there.
Mid Valley Southkey
A big mall with its own hotel blocks. We collect from the main drop-off point, so you can shop right up to departure time.
Mount Austin & Tebrau
Condos, cafés and the big-box stores on Jalan Tebrau. Plenty of boot space for shopping bags from a day out.
Bukit Indah & Iskandar Puteri
Homes in the west of JB, Puteri Harbour and the Legoland Malaysia hotels. From here the Second Link is usually the quicker way across.
Homes & condos across JB
Skudai, Permas Jaya, Johor Jaya, Taman Molek and beyond. We pick up at the lobby or guardhouse — just let us know the block.
Causeway or Second Link?
Two road crossings link Johor with Singapore. The Causeway runs from the checkpoint in central JB to Woodlands, and it is the natural choice for pick-ups in the city, Tebrau, Permas or Mount Austin heading to the north, east or centre of Singapore. The Tuas Second Link starts at Gelang Patah in western Johor and lands near Tuas, which suits trips from Iskandar Puteri, Bukit Indah or Legoland to the west of Singapore, Jurong or Sentosa.
Your driver checks the live queues before setting off and picks whichever crossing is faster on the day. When the Causeway is jammed, the Second Link can save a lot of time even if the distance is a little longer — that judgement call is part of what you are paying a local cross-border driver for.
Entering Singapore: What to Have Ready
You never leave the car, but the officers do check each passenger at the window. A little preparation keeps things smooth:
- Passports for everyone, with at least six months’ validity left
- Visitors: submit the SG Arrival Card online (free) within three days before you arrive
- Singapore citizens, PRs and long-term pass holders do not need the arrival card
- Declare any tobacco — Singapore gives no duty-free allowance on cigarettes
- Keep passports in hand, not in the boot, before we reach each checkpoint
Rules change from time to time, so check the official ICA website if you are unsure about your own situation.
When to Travel: Peak Hours at the Border
Traffic into Singapore is heaviest on weekday mornings, roughly from before dawn until about 9 am, when thousands of Johor residents commute to work. If you can, leave JB mid-morning, early afternoon or after the evening rush has cleared. The evening peak mostly flows the other way, out of Singapore, so a JB-to-Singapore ride after work hours is often smooth.
Sunday evenings, the last day of school holidays and the end of long weekends are the exceptions: everyone heads home at once. On those days, add generous buffer time — especially if you are catching a flight at Changi — or consider setting off earlier in the afternoon.
Return Trips and Choosing a Vehicle
Many customers book a return in one go: we drive you into JB for a weekend of food and shopping, then collect you from your hotel on the day you go home. You can also book only the JB-to-Singapore leg — handy if you drove up with friends, came by bus, or are a JB resident heading south for a flight.
Up to four passengers with light bags can save with the standard car. Families and anyone with big suitcases are better off in the Toyota Innova, Alphard, Vellfire or Staria, and groups of seven or more fit in the Hiace or 18-seater van. Child seats are available on request for a small top-up.
Every Ride Includes
- Fixed, all-inclusive fare — tolls, fuel, and parking covered
- Zero deposit — pay your driver in cash on arrival
- Door-to-door service — no transfers, no bus terminals
- Stay in the vehicle through immigration at both crossings
- Professional, experienced cross-border drivers
- 24/7 availability
Book Your JB to Singapore Ride
Send your JB pick-up point, Singapore drop-off address, date, time and number of passengers on WhatsApp — add your flight number if you are heading to Changi. You will receive a written confirmation; no deposit is needed.
Frequently Asked Questions
How long does it take to get from JB to Singapore by private car?
Off-peak, most trips take about 45 minutes to 1 hour 30 minutes door to door, depending on where you start and end. Weekday mornings and Sunday evenings can add an hour or more at the checkpoints.
How much is a private car from Johor Bahru to Singapore?
From SGD 100 one way in a Toyota Innova, for the whole car. Tolls, checkpoint fees, fuel and parking are included — the full table by vehicle is above.
Can you take us straight to Changi Airport?
Yes. Changi drop-offs are charged the same as any Singapore address. Share your flight time and we will suggest a pick-up time with a safe buffer for the border.
Do we need to get out at Woodlands or Tuas?
No. Everyone stays in the vehicle at both the Malaysian and Singapore checkpoints. Just hand your passports to the officer through the window when asked.
Do foreign visitors need the SG Arrival Card when coming by car?
Yes — visitors entering Singapore by land also need to submit it online within three days before arrival. Singapore citizens, permanent residents and long-term pass holders are exempt.
What is the best time to cross from JB to Singapore?
Mid-morning, early afternoon and late evening on weekdays are usually the smoothest. Avoid the early weekday commute and Sunday nights after long weekends if your schedule allows.
Can we stop for a meal or shopping before crossing?
A quick stop on the way is fine — mention it when you book. For several stops or a longer outing in JB, our Day Trip Service keeps the car with you by the hour.
Can I book a return trip from Singapore to JB at the same time?
Yes — return fares are shown in the table, and we can collect you anywhere in Singapore for the outbound leg. See our Singapore to Johor page for more places to visit.
