Private Car from Singapore to KLIA

Flights from Kuala Lumpur International Airport can be much cheaper than the same journey from Changi, and some routes are only flown from KLIA. Getting there is the hard part — unless someone drives you. Luxway SGMY collects you from your Singapore home or hotel, keeps you seated with your luggage through both checkpoints, and drops you at the departure kerb of KLIA Terminal 1 or Terminal 2.

The fare is per car, including tolls, checkpoint fees, fuel and parking, with no deposit — you pay the driver in cash on arrival. We run 24 hours a day, which matters on this route: a morning flight from KLIA usually means leaving Singapore in the middle of the night.

How Early Should You Leave Singapore?

Work backwards from your flight. Aim to reach KLIA at least 2 hours before departure. The drive itself is about four and a half to five hours, and the border can add anything from a few minutes to well over an hour, so build a buffer for the checkpoint on top of the road time.

In practice, that usually means leaving Singapore about 7 hours before your flight, and earlier on peak days such as Friday evenings, weekends and school holidays. When you book, tell us your flight time and we will suggest a pick-up time that fits the day of the week and the likely border traffic.

  • Weekday-morning and weekend-evening border queues are the ones to plan around
  • Night drives are usually the quickest and smoothest
  • Keep passports and boarding details within reach, not packed in the boot

Terminal 1 or Terminal 2?

KLIA has two separate terminals, and they are not side by side, so tell us which one you need. AirAsia flies mainly from Terminal 2 (formerly klia2), while Malaysia Airlines and most full-service airlines use Terminal 1. Always check the terminal on your booking or the airline’s website, as arrangements can change.

Your driver drops you at the departure level of the right terminal, right by the doors, so you can go straight to check-in with a trolley.

Luggage Space by Vehicle

Flying out usually means more and bigger bags than a weekend trip. Choose by luggage as much as by passenger numbers:

Toyota Innova

Up to 6 passengers with 1 large suitcase and 3 hand-carry bags. Best for light travellers.

Alphard / Vellfire

Premium captain seats for a long overnight drive, up to 6 passengers with 2 large suitcases and 4 hand-carry bags.

Hyundai Staria

Spacious and comfortable, with the same capacity as the Alphard: 6 passengers, 2 large cases and 4 smaller bags.

Toyota Hiace

Up to 9 passengers with luggage — the go-to choice for families flying together with several big suitcases.

Van 18-Seater

Up to 13 passengers with luggage, for tour groups, company trips and extended families heading to the same flight.

Not sure?

Send us a photo or a list of your bags on WhatsApp and we will recommend the right vehicle. Details are on the MPV and Hiace & van pages.

Early-Morning and Red-Eye Departures

Many of the best-value flights from KLIA leave early in the morning, which means a pick-up in Singapore around midnight or in the small hours. That is no problem for us: we drive 24/7, the roads are quiet at night, and the checkpoints are usually at their emptiest. Passengers can sleep most of the way, especially in the reclining seats of the Alphard, Vellfire or Staria.

Planning to spend a few days in the city before your flight instead? Book a drop at your KL hotel through our Singapore to Kuala Lumpur service, then take the KLIA Ekspres train or a taxi to the airport on the day.

Every Ride Includes

  • Fixed, all-inclusive fare — tolls, fuel, and parking covered
  • Zero deposit — pay your driver in cash on arrival
  • Door-to-door service — no transfers, no bus terminals
  • Stay in the vehicle through immigration at both crossings
  • Professional, experienced cross-border drivers
  • 24/7 availability

Frequently Asked Questions

How long does it take to drive from Singapore to KLIA?

About 4.5 to 5 hours on the road, plus time at the checkpoints. Aim to reach KLIA at least 2 hours before your flight, which usually means leaving Singapore about 7 hours before departure (earlier on peak days).

How much is a private car from Singapore to KLIA?

From SGD 340 one way in a Toyota Innova for the whole car, with tolls, checkpoint fees, fuel and parking included. All vehicle fares are in the table above.

Can you pick us up at midnight for a morning flight?

Yes. We operate 24/7, and night pick-ups are common on this route. We will suggest a departure time when you share your flight details.

Do you drop at both KLIA Terminal 1 and Terminal 2?

Yes, the fare is the same for either terminal. Just confirm which one your airline uses.

Will all our luggage fit?

Tell us how many large suitcases you have. Two big cases fit in the Alphard, Vellfire or Staria; for more, the Hiace or 18-seater van is the safer choice.

Do we need to get out of the car at the border?

No. You stay seated at both the Singapore and Malaysian checkpoints, with your bags in the boot the whole time.

Can we stop for food or a toilet break on the way?

Yes. The North–South Expressway has rest areas with toilets and food courts. Just keep stops short on airport runs so the buffer before check-in stays intact.

Can you pick us up from KLIA when we fly back?

Ask us on WhatsApp with your return flight details and we will confirm availability and the fare. Our Kuala Lumpur to Singapore page covers rides home from the city.
